Nvidia unveils new chips

Nvidia has announced new products aimed at advancing the personal computer industry. The company unveiled three new desktop graphics chips with extra components, helping users leverage AI capabilities on their personal machines without relying on remote services.

These chips, part of the GeForce RTX series, are designed to enhance gaming, design, and other applications with improved speed and memory performance. The flagship model, GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, is set to launch on January 31 for $999, with two additional models, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and 4070 SUPER, available later this month at $799 and $599, respectively.

The announcement reflects a broader industry trend of integrating AI capabilities into PCs for enhanced security and responsiveness. Nvidia's shares rose 6.4% on the news, reaching a record market value of over $1 trillion, making it the most valuable semiconductor company in history.

The new products are expected to provide a significant improvement over machines powered by traditional CPUs, such as those from Intel.
