Amazon + AI

We already know that Nvidia, Microsoft and Google have big exposure to AI (Artificial Intelligence). As it turns out, Amazon may also be a sleeping giant in this area of fast growth. In a recent conference hosted by AWS, Amazon highlighted how their cloud services can help businesses become more efficient through AI learning.

It makes sense for cloud services to be at the forefront of AI technology as they provide the platform for business digitisation. Because they have many existing clients they can recognise patterns and requirements from self-learning for different businesses in a variety of industries.

Search also seems to be an area earmarked for disruption by AI. Search within Amazon's site has boomed since they incentivised members to do so. AI can be a very beneficial tool for advertising and finding members products on the site that they didn't even know they wanted.

According to a Gartner study, AWS have the best ability to execute on this opportunity, even better than the apparent leaders Microsoft and Google.
