Now that the Chinese Gigafactory is in production mode, Tesla needs to increase its support network to ensure customer satisfaction - Tesla plans after-sales network expansion in China as Shanghai factory spins up.
To assist their expansion into China, they will more than double the number of showrooms/ repair shops and they will increase the number of charging stations by 40%. Wow. Nothing that Tesla does is in slow motion. It is rapid growth wherever you look.
Before the end of the year, Tesla wants to build 3 000 cars a week in its new factory. That is four times as many cars that they currently import from the US. Tesla is in the advantageous position that demand for their cars, far outstrips supply. That means, the only restriction on their growth is how fast they can build cars. To assist in producing more cars, Elon is currently on the hunt for a site for the third Gigafactory. This one will be in Europe.
