Nike Teams Up With Liverpool

On Tuesday Nike announced that they had signed a multi-year deal with UK football club, Liverpool. I don't really follow football, but even I know that Liverpool has been dominating the UK and European leagues for the last two years.

The deal is expected to be worth more than the $99 million a year that Adidas is paying Manchester United to be their jersey sponsor. Wow, that is some big money! The power of a brand to draw in customers is enormous though. So having Nike associated with the, more than likely, premier league champions is a great move.
