Finn For The Win

JP Morgan is a core New York Vestact portfolio stock. It has unveiled Finn, a new mobile banking product that gives customers online functionality and greater control of their everyday spending and saving.

Finn has a new perspective on traditional US banking through customised tools that help consumers build savings and reflect on everyday spending. JP Morgan built Finn by working closely with millennials to understand their financial challenges and what influences their spending. Research found that emotions played a large part in their decisions. Finn was designed to put them in charge, no matter where or how they're spending.

Some of the tools that Finn offers include:
Rating of purchases: Customers can rate transactions as something they want" or need," and assign emojis for how those purchases made them feel.
Automatically build savings: Customers save by setting personal autosave rules on their terms, like saving $5 every time they go shopping. Set it and forget it!
Stop overspending: Finn only lets customers spend what they have.

Finn provides all of the capabilities of a traditional checking and savings account, but does it through a fully mobile experience. The new app is supported by JP Morgan's digital account opening platform, which allows consumers to sign up directly from their phone and start banking in minutes.

The Finn debit card gives customers fee-free access to more than 29,000 JP Morgan (Chase) and other ATMs which they can find by checking the ATM locator on their phone.

In coming years JP Morgan is looking to increase the number of account sign-ups that happen over mobile devices. The mobile-first experience will deliver customers a fast, easy way to set up an account and start banking in minutes, wherever, whenever. Finn looks like an interesting way of getting new business from younger generations. It will be interesting to see what the adoption rates are like.

Vestact clients that hold JP Morgan will benefit from the introduction. On top of this the bank has Apple pay capabilities which benefits Apple holders. Lastly, the debit cards have been issued by Visa.
