Hi Gemini

As mentioned above, Google released a new AI program called Gemini. This is Google's answer to Open AI's ChatGPT (OpenAI is basically part of Microsoft now). According to Google, Gemini is ahead of ChatGPT in many areas. Early reviews by industry experts suggest that they have similar capabilities, with slightly different strengths and weaknesses. Not surprisingly, Google's version will be more powerful when it comes to search-related tasks.

Google has three different versions of Gemini: Nano, which is designed to be able to run on phones without an internet connection; Pro, which will power Google's AI chatbot Bard; and Ultra which will power advanced data centres and large companies. The plan is to have Gemini present on almost every Google offering, even if you don't see it running.

Here is a video from Google about what you can expect from Gemini - Gemini: Reasoning about user intent to generate bespoke experiences.

Google, which was the industry leaders in AI for years, was caught wrong-footed when ChatGPT launched last year and fell behind. They have now caught up, and the market expects big things in the future.
