Apple drives India's exports

Apple is the biggest and best company on the planet. That's not just my opinion, it's a position that is established by its towering market capitalisation of $2.9 trillion. Billions of dollars exchange hands every single minute of every trading day on the stock market, and freely-traded share prices determine each company's value. Apple is the biggest and the best, based on the trades of millions of retail investors, thousands of analysts and hundreds of institutions.

I saw an article yesterday that reminded me why Apple is so deserving of this title. Their execution is second to none. Apple has already made smartphones one of India's top five exports. According to India's commerce ministry, smartphone exports have doubled in the last financial year and iPhones accounted for half the smartphones sold.

It was not long ago when Apple earmarked India as a future production hub. With a flick of a switch, they are already manufacturing $5 billion worth of iPhones in India this year. Well done to Apple and well done to India for attracting that kind of investment.
